The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) once a year.   • The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has provided a final opportunity to correct RD Numbers and correct the claims in the KCET 2025 application form from 9th May and the link will be active till 15th May at 11.59 PM.
  • The candidates can only make the required changes within the prescribed time. The requests to correct the application after the provided time will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • The candidates are advised to verify the details/claims made in the KCET 2025 application and correct the details if required.

Below are the details to verify by the candidate in their KCET Application form and correct them if required

  • Information related to the Eligibility clause, Reserved category, Annual Income, Hyderabad Karnataka Reservation, study in Kannada medium, a study in Rural areas, Special category, etc.
  • Information regarding Caste, Income, NCLC, and other RD related certificates will be verified through web-service based on the Caste (or) Caste-Income certificate RD Number and RD Number entered by the candidate in their online application form. The candidate has to enter the correct RD Number carefully in the online application form.
  • SC, ST, and Cat-1 candidates should obtain an income certificate and enter the RD Number of the income certificate carefully to avail the benefit of fee exemption.
  • General merit candidates who claim the seat in the rural category also obtain an NCLC (Non-Creamy Layer Certificate) issued from the concerned Tahasildar and enter the RD Number without fail.
  • General merit candidates, if their annual income is below 8 lakhs, they have to obtain an income certificate from the concerned Tahasildar and enter the RD Number of the Income Certificate carefully, to claim Supernumerary Quota (SNQ)
  • If the student is applying for the Hyderabad Karnataka Reservation, they need to tick YES at the specified area.
  •  Reservation and enter the correct RD Number. Only such candidates will become eligible to claim the Hyderabad Karnataka Reservation.

KCET Application Correction 2025: How to Edit?

To avail KCET Application Correction facilities, candidates can follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Visit the KCET 2025 Application Edit link at: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  • Step 2: Then select “Edit required for”, and then select the required field to edit.
  • Step 3: Before selecting the “Declare” button”, confirm that all the entries or claims are correct. The candidates cannot be able to edit the application after the selection of the “Declare” button.
  • Step 4: After the completion of the required changes in the application form, select the ‘Final Submission’ button.
  • Step 5: Take a printout of the edited application form and preserve it. At least 5 copies of the edited application form are advisable.

KCET Application Correction 2025: Fees

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) did not charge any separate fee for correcting details in the KCET 2025 application form. Candidates were allowed to edit permitted fields during the correction window without making any additional payment. However, applicants were required to ensure that:

  • The original application fee had been successfully paid.
  • All corrections were completed within the specified correction period.
  • The form was finally submitted after making the changes.

Once the correction window closed, no further modifications were allowed, and the submitted details were considered final for admit card issuance and counselling.
