The JEE Advanced registrations will be opened on April 23rd,2025. The candidates who qualify for JEE Mains can apply for the JEE Advanced exam. The registrations will be active till May 2nd, 2025. The students can pay the application fee until May 5th,2025.

IIT Kanpur(JEE Advanced Exam Conducting Authority) has released the schedule for the JEE Advanced exam and the information bulletin with details on how to apply for the exam and the eligibility criteria for the JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Advanced Exam Highlights

The JEE Advanced Exam is going to be conducted on 18th May 2025. The exam is going to be conducted in 2 papers. Paper 1 is going to be conducted from 09:00 A.M -12:00P.M and Paper 2 is going to be conducted from 2:30 P.M to 5:30 P.M

JEE Advanced Exam Overview

The JEE Advanced  Exam is Conducted Annually for the students who have qualified through JEE Main. The JEE Advanced is conducted by IIT Kanpur, and the exam is conducted in 2 papers. Both the Papers are mandatory to attempt. The JEE Advanced Exam is going to be conducted for 6 Hours a Day. The JEE Advanced is one of the important exams for engineering stream students as it gives admission into premier institutions such as IITs.

JEE Advanced Application Form

The candidates need to apply for JEE Advanced through the official website, and the application form will be released by the Exam Conducting Authority(IIT Kanpur). The Application requires contact information, academic details, and Personal details. The Fee payment can be done through both Online and offline modes.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced

Eligibility Criteria for Foreigners 

Candidates who are not citizens of India by Birth are considered foreign candidates. Here are the eligibility criteria for foreigners

The identity proof can be a Foreign passport/citizenship certificate/OCI or PIO Card.
Supernumerary seatsForeign Candidates have a limited number of extra seats. These seats do not affect the regular admission process and are not subject to India’s reservation system, and there is no female quota for Foreign candidates.

Third Attempt Candidates

The IIT Kanpur has reverted the decision to conduct JEE Advanced three times. However, the Supreme Court has ordered the authorities to allow the attempts on the aspirants who dropped out of college between November 5th and 18th,2024, and students who have appeared for their class 12 examination for the first time in 2023. For all the other candidates, the number of attempts remains the same, i.e., 2 attempts for 2 consecutive years.

Registration for JEE Advanced 

  • The Candidates need to  visit the official website
  • Create an account for JEE Advanced with your JEE Main 2025  Application number and other details.
  • Create a new password for the registration process

Password Requirements 

  • Password should be 8 to 13 characters long
  • The Password should contain the following
    • one Upper case characters
    •  one Lower case characters
    •  one Number.
    •  one Special Character.

Filling out the Application Form

After registering and creating the password, the candidates need to do the following steps

  • The Candidates will receive the verification links to their registered mobile and email addresses, and the candidates will be able to verify the details by clicking on the verification links.
  • After the verification, the candidates will be redirected to the payment section, where they need to pay the exam fee. 
  • The Fee payment can be done through a Credit/debit Card or net Banking.
  • Candidates can download the application form for future reference.

How to Do Fee Payment for JEE Advanced Exam?

The Fee Payment for JEE Advanced can be done through both online mode and offline mode. Here is the process for fee payment through both online and offline mode.

Fee Payment Through Online Mode

  • The Fee payment can be done through  Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • The  Pay the Registration Fee option will be available after filling out the application form.
  • The candidates will be redirected to the State Bank of India Multi-Option Payment System (MOPS) page. 
  • There will be the following options for the payment; candidates can select any option to pay the exam fee
    • Credit Card
    • Debit Card
    • Net Banking
    • SBI Branch
  • After paying the registration fee, candidates will have an application with a JEE Advanced Application Number.

Fee Payment Through Offline Mode

  • The  Pay the Registration Fee option will be available after filling out the application form.
  • The candidates will be redirected to the State Bank of India Multi-Option Payment System (MOPS) page. 
  • For Cash Payment, the Candidates need to select “SBI Branch,”  and an e-challan will be generated.
  • Candidates can print this e-challan and visit the SBI Branch and pay the cash at the SBI Branch.
  • After the Payment is done, the candidates can download the registration details.

 JEE Advanced Admit Card

The JEE Advanced Admit Card for the Registered candidates will be issued by IIT Kanpur on 11th May 2025.The candidates will be able to download the Admit card till 18th May 2025. To access the JEE Advanced Admit Card, the candidates need to have their application number and date of birth. The Admit Card will be sent to the registered  E-mail Id. The admit card is a crucial document that is required for attempting the JEE Advanced Exam.
