The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced an extension for the registration period of the Maharashtra Common Eligibility Test (MHT CET) 2025. Applicants can now submit their applications by February 28, 2025, although a late fee of Rs 500 will be applied for submissions made after the original deadline.

Steps to Fill Out the MHTCET Application Form for 2025

Understanding the application process and knowing how to apply for the exam helps candidates apply for the exam without any discrepancies and ensures the application process is smooth. Here are the steps to complete the MHTCET application process:

Step 1: Register for MHTCET by providing your email ID and phone number. 

Step 2: Fill up the application form by providing the necessary details in the designated particulars.

Step 3: Provide the details related to your residence, category, etc.

Step 4: Provide all your academic details in the given particulars.

Step 5: Select your preference for the language of the examination and examination centre.

Step 6: Upload the scanned images of your photograph.

Step 7: Pay the application fee and take the printout of the application for future reference.

Here is the list of documents that candidates need to upload while registering for the MHTCET exam.

MHTCET Registration Day Extension 

The registration process for MHTCET started on December 30th, 2024. The officials have announced the extended date of the registration process, i.e. February 23 to 27, 2025. Candidates who are willing to register for the exam have to apply for the MHTCET exam by paying a late registration fee of ₹500. 

Candidates must have passed their Class 12th from a recognised university/Institute to be eligible to appear for the MHTCET exam. Candidates can visit the official website, i.e., cetcell.mahacet.org and register for the exam by filling out the application form and paying the application fee after uploading the required documents. 

The exam date for MHTCET 2025 is April 9-17, 2025, for PCB and April 19-27,2025 for PCM.

MHTCET 2025 Application Correction Window

The officials are expected to open the application correction window from the second week of March. Candidates can edit their details mentioned in the application form once the application correction window is open. Candidates must ensure to make all the necessary corrections before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria for MHTCET Registration

Candidates aspiring to appear for the MHTCET exam are advised to go through the eligibility criteria, as failing to satisfy the eligibility criteria might lead to disturbances during/after the examination process. Here are the eligibility criteria for the MHTCET exam:

  • Candidates should be Indian Nationals.
  • There is no age limit to appear for the MHTCET exam.
  • Candidates appearing/have passed class 12th with PCM/PCB as majors can apply.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 45%(40%) in the qualifying examination.

MHTCET Exam Pattern

MHTCET syllabus consists of 20% of the exam syllabus from Class XI and 80% of the syllabus from Class XII. Candidates are advised to prioritise the topics based on their weight and prepare for the exam to secure a good score in the Exam. Here is the Exam pattern of MHTCET 2025.
