Keeping everything in view, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) decided to remove the Out of Syllabus questions of the 2023 – 2024 syllabus from the KCET 2024 assessment and consider only the remaining questions. It also decided that there won’t be a re-test for the KCET 2024 examination.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) was conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for two days on 18th and 19th April 2024. The KCET examination was conducted for 4 subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). More than 3 lakh students appeared for the KCET 2024 examination across the State.
The candidates who appeared for the KCET 2024 examination have reported that several questions from the papers were Out of the Syllabus of CET. The representations have also received several objection emails from the candidates. They have also demanded providing grace marks, removing the questions for assessment, or reconducting the exam.
KCET 2024 Out of Syllabus Questions Excluded
Based on the Expert Committee Report and analysis of 1 PUC Syllabus of 2022 – 2023, the out-of-syllabus questions from the deleted 2023 – 2024 revised syllabus are as follows:

The authorities have determined several questions from the deleted chapters of the revised syllabus of the 11th and 12th PUC Syllabus of 2023 – 2024. However, some questions are in the syllabus and chapters of 1 PUC of 2022 – 2023 which the students have learned in the previous year and need not be deleted from the KCET question paper.
