List of Important Documents for JEE Main 2025 Counselling

JEE Mains 2025 is scheduled to happen across two sessions. Session 1 will commence from January 22nd to 30th, 2025, and session 2 will be conducted from April 1st to 8th, 2025. After declaring the results, candidates should download their Rank Cards and prepare the necessary documents for the counseling process.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for the admission process. Candidates who have cleared JEE Mains have to appear for the JoSAA Counselling process with all the necessary documents for verification. Although the dates for counselling are yet to be announced, the tentative date for the counselling process is expected to be June 10th, 2025. About Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) regulates the admission process to prestigious institutes like IITs, NITs, IIITs, and various other government-funded technical institutes. JoSAA operates under the Ministry of Education and regulates admissions to 121 institutes across India. To Avoid any rejections in JoSAA counselling, candidates need a set of important documents which will be provided below. 

Counselling Process in Two Phases

The counselling process for admissions happens in two phases JoSAA conducts the first phase for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFITs. CSAB conducts the second phase of the counselling process as it is the responsible authority for admissions to institutes except for IITs for the remaining seats after JoSAA counselling.

Eligibility Criteria for Admissions

Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 counseling process have eligibility criteria that they should satisfy.

Here is the eligibility criteria for admission: 

• Based on the All India Rank Admissions to the undergraduate courses will happen.
• For admissions into B. Tech candidates have to secure 75% in their class 12th (65% for SC/ST).
• To apply for B. Arch, candidates must score at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and 50% overall in the qualifying exam.
• This applies to all technical institutes participating in the JEE Main 2024 Counselling through JoSAA/CSAB.
• State-affiliated engineering colleges will create separate rank lists based on state-specific eligibility criteria.

Before the announcement of the JoSAA counselling 2024 dates, two mock rounds will be conducted to help candidates gain a better understanding of the counselling process.
