MHT CET Exam Result – Released, Steps to Check Results

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell announced the MHT CET 2025 exam result for the PCM Group on 16th June 2025. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. MHT CET releases the results in percentiles and subject-wise percentiles in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. After announcing the results, the CET cell releases the merit list. The merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the MHT CET exam. It consists of the names of shortlisted candidates for the MHT CET Counselling Process. How to check MHT CET Result 2025?

The Officials have announced the MHT CET exam result on 16th June 2025. Candidates can log in with their credentials, such as application number and password, to view the results. Candidates can follow these results/scorecards by following the steps below:

• Step 1: Go to the official website of MHT CET 2025 at cetcell.mahacet.org.
• Step 2: Click on the “MHTCET Result” Link.

MHT CET PCM Toppers List 2025

The Maharashtra State CET Cell released the MHT CET 2025 PCM toppers list on June 16, 2025, alongside the result at cetcell.mahacet.org. Separate lists are published for PCM and PCB streams, showcasing the names of candidates who scored the highest marks. These top-ranked students will have better chances of admission into premier engineering and pharmacy colleges across Maharashtra. The toppers’ list is announced simultaneously with the result declaration on the official website.

The MHT-CET 2025 (PCM Group) Examination was held from April 19 to April 27, 2025, with an additional exam conducted on May 5, 2025. The exam was conducted across 207 centres within Maharashtra and 17 centres outside the state. A total of 4,64,263 candidates registered for the PCM group, out of which 4,22,663 appeared, marking an attendance of 91.04%. Notably, 22 candidates from the PCM group achieved a perfect 100th percentile in this examination.

MHT CET PCB Topper List 2025

The Maharashtra State CET Cell released the MHT CET 2025 PCB toppers list on June 17, 2025, after releasing the PCM results on June 16, 2025. According to the official data released by the MHT CET state cell, a total of 3,01,072 students registered for the MHT CET PCB group, out of which 2,82,734 candidates appeared. Fourteen people from the PCB group have secured 100th percentile marks in MHT CET 2025.

The MHT CET 2025 result is based on a percentile score rather than raw marks, as the exam is conducted in multiple sessions with varying difficulty levels. To ensure fairness, a normalisation process is used before calculating the final result. Here’s how the result is calculated:

How MHT CET 2025 Results Are Calculated:

Step 1: Raw Score Calculation:

Candidates first receive a raw score based on the number of correct answers. There is no negative marking in MHT CET.

Step 2. Normalization of Marks:

Since the exam is held in different shifts, raw scores are normalised to adjust for varying levels of difficulty between sessions.

Step 3: Percentile Formula:

The percentile is calculated using the formula:

Percentile=Number of candidates who scored â‰¤ your score ×100 /(Total number of candidates)

This percentile reflects how many candidates scored equal to or below your score.

Step 4. Final Result

Candidates receive subject-wise and overall percentiles. Admissions are based on these percentile scores, not the raw marks.

MHT CET Results 2025: Tie Breaking process

In some situations where two or more candidates achieve the same scores in the exam, it can create uncertainty about their ranks. To overcome this, CET authorities have decided to implement tie-breaking procedures for MHT CET 2025 results.

Tie-breaking Process

In case of a tie in MHT CET scores, the following criteria are used to break the tie:

• Candidates with higher scores in Mathematics are given preference.
• If the tie continues, candidates with higher scores in Physics are prioritized.
• If the tie persists, candidates with higher scores in chemistry are prioritized.
• If the tie still continues, the candidate older in age is given preference.
• If all previous criteria fail to resolve the tie, a random selection process is applied to break the tie.

MHT CET 2025 Counselling

The MHT CET 2025 counselling will be conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by the State CET Cell. After the results are declared, eligible candidates must register online, upload necessary documents, and get them verified either online or through designated e-scrutiny centers. A provisional merit list will be published based on academic performance and examination results.

Following this, candidates can fill in their preferred colleges and branches by submitting their web options. The counselling is held in multiple rounds, and seat allotments are released after each round. MHT CET 2025 Merit List 

The Maharashtra State Council Cell will publish the MHT CET merit list on the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates can log in using their credentials to download the MHT CET 2025 merit list. If candidates are dissatisfied with their marks, CET authorities allow them to submit grievances regarding the preliminary MHT CET 2025 merit list. 

After addressing grievances, CET authorities will release the final CET merit list 2025. Candidates need to note that the merit list is based on normalized scores obtained in the MHT CET 2025 exam.
