
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 is an entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) in two days. On day 1, the examination authorities conducted the Biology and Mathematics exams on April 18th, and on the 2nd day, the authorities conducted the Physics and Chemistry exams on April 19th, 2024.
The candidates who appeared for the KCET 2024 examination have reported that 11 questions were from the deleted chapters of the NCERT textbook of PU in the Biology Question Paper and 9 questions were asked from the Out of Syllabus in the KCET Mathematics 2024 exam.
On the second day of the KCET 2024 exam, the candidates reported that around 35 to 40 questions were asked from the Out of Syllabus in the Physics and Chemistry exams.

KCET Biology Question Paper 2024
In the KCET 2024 Biology paper, question numbers 17, 18, and 42 were asked from “Strategies for enhancement in food pro production” which is completely deleted from the Pre University Syllabus. Questions 3, 4, 35, and 36 were asked from “Reproduction in organisms and environmental issues” from the Plant Kingdom. Question numbers 28, 30, and 31 were asked from “Organisms and Populations”, and “Ecosystems” which were partially deleted from the Syllabus. The remaining questions were asked from “Structural Organisations in Animals”.
KCET Mathematics Question Paper 2024
In the KCET 2024 Mathematics paper, questions 8, 9, 10, and 11 were asked from “Planes” which is the deleted part of the chapter 3D Geometry. Questions 4 and 6 were asked from the topic “Scalar Triple Product” which is the deleted part from the chapter Vectors. Questions 13, 14, and 15 were asked from the topics “Random Variables” and “Binomial Distribution” which were deleted from the chapter Probability.
KCET Physics Question Paper 2024
In the KCET 2024 Physics paper, the first question was about the “Meter Bridge” from the chapter Current Electricity, that no longer included in the second year Pre University Syllabus. Questions 6 and 7 were from the topics “Hysterisis” and “Curie Law” deleted from the Magnetism and Matter chapter. The 12th Question was asked from the topic “Quality Factor” deleted from the chapter Alternating Current. Questions 20 and 22 were from the topics “Doppler Effect” and “Fringe Width” deleted from Wave Optics. Questions 29 and 34 were from a deleted part of the “Nuclei” chapter. The 32nd Question was from “Zener Diode” from Semiconductors.
KCET Chemistry Question Paper 2024
In the KCET 2024 Chemistry Question paper, Questions 10, 11, and 12 were from the deleted topics “Surface Chemistry”. Questions 13, 14, 58, 59, and 60 were from the topic called “Isolation of Elements”. Questions 15, 17, and 18 were asked from p-Block. 41 and 42 were from “Chemistry in Everyday Life” which were all deleted chapters from the Pre University Syllabus.

Objections to Questions
The KEA has released the notification to raise objections to the question paper. The candidates can send objections if any to the questions given for the KCET 2024 exam with valid reasons to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) through email, keaugcet24@gmail.com.
While sending the objections, the candidates must indicate the Subject, Version Code, and Question Number. The last date to submit the objections is 27/04/2024, 5:30 PM.
