CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis: May 13 2025, Shift 2
The CUET UG 2025 exam was conducted on May 13th, shift 2, across many states, for the General Aptitude Test, English, and Economics. Candidates have to attempt 50 questions for 250 marks for each respective subject. As per the initial reaction of the students, the exam for the Shift 2 is considered Moderate to Difficult. A large portion of the exam’s questions were format-specific and theory-based, which many students felt took up too much time.
For the domain subjects, the bulk of the questions were NCERT-based, and the quants section was lengthy and somewhat time-consuming. There were 30 questions from NCERT in history, including two passage-based questions worth 10 marks, and the majority of the questions in Accountancy were concept-based and of a moderate difficulty level. CUET UG 2025 General Aptitude Paper Analysis
The Logical Reasoning section covered seating arrangement and direction questions and was easier than Shift 1. The Visual Reasoning section was easy and only consisted of image-based questions. Student Reviews For CUET UG 2025 May 13th Shift 2 Exam
Most students from different states found CUET UG 2025 Shift 2, which was held on May 13th, to be moderate to difficult compared to the previous shift. Here is a summary of what students perceived about the exam.
General Aptitude Test (GAT)
The Students found the GAT paper to be moderate. Reasoning questions were much more pronounced as opposed to quantitative questions. Current affairs were also limited, and I suggest not paying too much attention to this part. However, if you do want to prepare for it, pay more attention to questions related to history.
Mathematics
Students found the Maths part to be easy. Just like the GAT, most of the questions asked were direct MCQs from NCERT textbooks. No difficult or tricky questions were found; the NCERT should do for all preparation in Maths.
Chemistry
The Chemistry paper was slightly easier. Many of the questions were based on reagents, named reactions, and distinguishing tests. There were only 2-3 numerical questions that would be categorised as one-liners and were easy. They were from Electrochemistry and Solutions. SI units were also asked to match the following in the Electrochemistry section. Overall, there was no need for panic; it was just concepts and reactions.
History
The History section felt fairly easy and manageable to the students. There were likely close to 10 passage-based questions from Modern History, but mostly direct questions from NCERT (especially the timeline sections). The students felt that about 5-6 questions were a little tricky, but they completed this section confidently. There weren’t any assertion-reasoning type questions, but there were several match-the-following type questions.
Business Studies
The Business Studies paper was the easiest core subject, and the students related that the paper contained case studies based on Financial Management and Principles of Management. The sequence of questions appeared again as in previous years. No assertion-reasoning questions were asked, and other large content questions were taken from units like Nature and Significance of Management, Staffing, Marketing, and Organising.
Accountancy
Students reported that the section was moderate to difficult. Most were confronted with about 30 numerically based and 20 theory-based questions. There were 10 case-study questions and an unexpected 7-8 assertion-reasoning questions, which made for a long paper. Most students felt it was a little bit of a lengthy assessment and that time management was the key in this section.

- Carry Only Required Items: Only take your printed admit card (with passport-size photograph), your valid photo ID (Aadhaar or PAN card), a transparent ballpoint pen, and a transparent water bottle.
- Be On Time: Report to the exam center well in advance relative to your reporting time (7:00 AM for Shift 1 and 11 AM for Shift 2). If you are late, you will not be allowed to enter.
