The questions from shift two are mixed in terms of the difficulty level. The mathematics paper was lengthy, as there were more calculations. MHT CET PCM Exam Analysis: Student Reviews For April 20th Shift 1 and Shift 2
According to student reviews from the MHT CET 2025, April 20th – Shift 1 & Shift 2, here is a summary of what students perceived about the exam.
Shift 1
Physics:
Students found the Physics paper moderately difficult, with a relatively equal distribution of numerical and conceptual questions. Many topics were covered, mainly Modern Physics, Rotational Dynamics, and Current Electricity, and certain questions were a bit lengthy with all the steps involved.
Chemistry:
Students found Chemistry to be the easiest of the three subjects. This section was mainly theory, completely based on topics from the NCERT and HSC books. Organic and Inorganic Chemistry were important topics here as well.
Mathematics:
The hardest section of the three. There were many long and complicated calculations involved, especially in the topics of Calculus, Integration, and Probability. Questions were also application-based, so students needed to speed up, with the clarity of concepts was essential to complete the paper on time.
Shift 2
Physics:
In Shift 2, Students found the Physics paper to be at a moderate to difficult level, the same as the first shift. Mark distribution was very large for Mechanics, Optics, and Thermodynamics. There were somewhat complex questions that required a lot of critical thinking and steps to get to the final answer.
Chemistry:
Fairly easy again, with many theory questions in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry comments. Very few straightforward questions for Physical Chemistry.
Mathematics:
For the Maths section, unlike shift 1, it was moderately difficult. However, there were a few questions that even the best students have stumped and required strong reading skills and high-level problem-solving. Topics such as Vectors, 3D Geometry, and Matrices were common.
Conclusion
The MHT CET 2025 exam, held on April 20 for Shift 1 and Shift 2, had an overall moderate difficulty level, similar to previous years. Students found a well-balanced distribution in the questions across the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with a few shifts showing a slight tendency towards more conceptual and formula-based questions.
