PIO and OCI Card holders are eligible to apply for the exam.
Foreign nationals seeking admission to any course must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
Domicile statusCandidates must be residents of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, must fulfil the Local/Non-Local status requirements as per the guidelines.
Age limitCandidates must have attained at least 16 years of age as of December 31, 2024, to apply for Engineering and Pharmacy courses. 
There is no upper age limit criteria to apply for the AP EAMCET exam.
For courses like B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology), and B.Sc (Agricultural Engineering), candidates must be 17 years old by December 31, 2024. The upper age limit is 22 years and 25 years for SC/ST candidates.
Academic QualificationCandidates who passed/appearing for Class 12 are eligible to apply for the exam.
Candidates must have studied PCM to opt for the engineering stream.
Candidates who have passed any other examination recognised as equivalent by the state board are also eligible to appear for the exam.
Marks Required45% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
40% aggregate for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Weightage75% of normalised marks and 25% of marks in IPE are considered for final merit.

Candidates aspiring for engineering admissions have to fulfil the following criteria:

  • 45% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in 10+2.
  • Must be an Indian National
