The application correction window for JEE will open on 27th February 2025, and the last date for correction of particulars for the application is 28th February 2025(up to 11:50 P.M). The Candidates can apply for the correction of particulars on the official website(jeemain.nta.nic.in).

During the JEE Main 2025 application correction facility, the information filled out by the candidates can be modified. The information that can be edited is exam city, education details, paper, etc. Candidates who have errors in their application form and wish to edit their application form have to log in to the website and make the required changes.

Steps for Application Correction

JEE Main Application Correction will open from 27th February 2025 to 28th February 2025 here is step by step process on how  application correction can be done and what are the editable and non-editable fields in the application form

  • Visit the official website(jeemain.nta.nic.in)
  • Login with Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Security PIN
  •  Read the instructions and click on Proceed for the JEE Main correction window 2025
  • The Application Form that the candidate fills out will appear on the screen.
  • Check The editable and non-editable fields and make the changes accordingly.
  • After The correction is completed, submit the application.
  • Save the application for future reference.

How to correct the Photograph and Signature?

In case of any error in the photograph and signature, the candidate can correct the error through the application form correction link, which will be active from 27th Feb 2025. Here is the process for correction.

  • Visit official website
  • Click on the Application correction link.
  • Go to Remove image discrepancy in photograph and signature 
  • Enter the Application Number, password, security PIN and Login
  • Remove the Image with the error
  • Upload the Correct Image with the Correct Specifications
  • Click on submit.

Steps to Recover the Application Number

  • Go to the official website(jeemain.nta.nic.in)
  • Click on registered Candidate sign in
  • An Option for Forgot Application Number will be available
  • Give the Candidate Number, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and date of Birth and all the details must be given according to the 10th or equivalent Marksheet. 
  • Click on submit and the application number will be displayed on the screen.

Recovery of Password

Steps to Recover the Password

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on registered Candidate sign in
  • An Option for Forgot Password will be available
  • There will be ways to reset the password
    • Security question
    • Verification code
    • Reset Link
  • Select any option and Give the Candidate Number, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and date of Birth and all the details must be given according to the 10th or equivalent Marksheet
  • Click the submit and the forgot password link will be sent to the candidate.

JEE Main Exam Overview

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination – Main) is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programs in NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. It also serves as a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, required for admission to IITs. JEE Main is held twice a year (January and April) and consists of three papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch, and Paper 2B for B.Planning. The exam is conducted in a computer-based format, except for the drawing test in B.Arch.JEE Main Session 1 is completed recently and session 2 is going to be held from 1st April to 8th April 2025.

Points to Remember While Applying for JEE

Here are a few points to keep in mind while application correction for the JEE Main

  • Additional Fee payment: Category change for SC/ST to General requires payment of an additional fee.
  • Application Form: The Application form correction will be available for only one time it is a one-time correction facility.
  • All Details are not editable: All the details in the application form are not editable only some of the fields such as course, medium, etc.
  • Follow the Guidelines: Follow the guidelines that are set by the authority for the Photo and signature.

 Application Fee Refund for JEE Main Correction

Application Fee refund will not be given to the candidates who opted to attempt both papers but want to appear for only one session.

JEE Main Admit Card

The NTA  will issue the Admit card for JEE Main 2025 session 2 tentatively on March 28, 2025. Candidates who have submitted the application form will receive the admit card and  Details such as center details, date and timing of the paper will be mentioned in the admit card.
